We all know how incredible Melanie is, so it is so nice to see her recognized outside of our organization. Dallas-based newspaper, Elite News, has named Melanie as the recipient of the 2024 Community Investment Award!
This award is being given to highlight both her personal and professional involvement within her community. Some highlights include that she is a proud 20-year member of the South Oak Cliff High School Alumni Association and was recently recognized with a service award for her contributions to her alma mater. Additionally, she recently became a board member of the Texas Restaurant Association and has served in leadership roles within the International Association of Fairs & Expositions (IAFE) and Texas Association of Fairs & Events as well as Executive Women International (EWI) and the National Independent Concessionaire Association (NICA). In addition to these endeavors, she is heavily involved with the Fair’s Big Tex Business Masterclass and State Fair Cares community outreach initiatives. Melanie, along with other award recipients, will be recognized at an award ceremony tomorrow night, Saturday, February 24th.
