This position will spearhead new initiatives and oversee the execution of the Fair’s Procurement and Contract Policies and will report to Lindsay Clark, CFO. We looked outside the organization and came to realize our best candidate lied within. I would like to take a moment to congratulate Emma Christensen on her promotion to Director of Compliance. For those of you unaware, Emma worked the State Fair of Texas as a Livestock Intern before accepting the position of Livestock Coordinator. She had such a passion for our mission, she packed up her home in South Dakota and moved to Dallas. After a few years, Emma was promoted to Manager of Livestock. We are very excited that Emma has accepted this new challenge.
